Colorme Weekly Palette Finale
It's a finale today but also a ground breaking post for the leavesnbloom website which is really exciting. Yes you did read that right - today is the final ColorMe Weekly but just here at the studio. I've had a great year creating colour palettes and curating the meme and I hope you have too.
I want to thank each and everyone of you for joining in and making it such great fun at the start of every new week.
New ventures are planned for 2013 here at the studio blog and I'm sure you'll have already noticed that the leavesnbloom studio has been given a makeover. It's now fully integrated into my brand new e commerce site leavesnbloom fine art & photography.
The amalgamation of all 3 of my sites into the leavesnbloom.com domain now makes it possible for me to share private galleries with clients and let them purchase direct from the gallery, sell my bucolic Perthshire fine art prints and licence my stock images directly with corporate clients along with blogging.
The stock image library is still under construction if you've been over already. I'm planning for over 1,000 images to get uploaded there.....that's over 1,000 sets of keywords I'm working on for starters! Here are the latest ones - and each one individually can be embedded on your own website as you can see here. The stock images are unedited and unsharpened and rarely cropped as corporate clients need as many pixels as possible.
In 2013 ColorMe Weekly is changing and moving in a new direction.......
It's permanent home will be over on Google plus where it has been gaining lots of new followers. Over on the G + page the emphasis is on colour and you don't even have to create a palette to join in - so even more of you can join in. If you've never ventured over to Google plus yet then check out the series I did in the summer - 31 days of Google + photography. As they say it's easy once you know how and this series breaks it down into nice manageable chunks of information to help you get the best from the network. (did you know that being on G + is one of the best things you can do for your blog in terms of SEO)
Now that there's a new emphasis on Colorme Weekly in 2013 on colour rather than making a palette I realised that many more photography bloggers would join in with us. So I made the decision to just keep the theme on G +.
It's so much easier to comment on G + and share on the ColorMe Weekly Theme Page - just check out the about page to find out how to notify me of your posted photograph. Rather than waiting for blog pages to load and then navigating through that dreaded blog comment verification it's so much quicker to use G +.
When there are only a small number of participants it's fine using the blog meme.........but in larger numbers it would take up too much of my precious time.
Even easier for you the participants as all you have to do is type in #colormeweekly in the google plus search bar and all the participants photos should appear on 1 page for you to comment on or +1.
So far 134 have joined the ColorMe Weekly theme over on G + and you're welcome to join in too!
Wear Your Photos With Style?
......and since I always love to share new and sometimes unusual things with my readers how about creating your own fashion and actually getting one of your photographs turned into fabric and made to your design and size? CONSTRVCT.com is an online fashion design studio that does exactly that!
Not sure how many would actually go ahead and get an outfit made but it certainly shows how technology and design is moving these days. I'm sure there would be plenty of art and design students interested in this site for sure!
1. Add the link of your blog post not your blog homepage.

Thanks to everyone who joined in last week and if you're joining in with ColorMe Weekly for the first time here's what you need to do:
1. Add the link of your blog post not your blog homepage.
2. Your blog post must contain a colour palette (not required if you're linking in via google plus)
3. The photograph must be one you took yourself or you have permission to use and be grandchildren friendly.
4. Make sure you use either the button or text that links back to ColorMe Weekly.
5. Leave some comment love after you link in as we all love comments and 1+ the post!

2 little words of encouragement:
I have been away from this (babies keep you busy), but I am excited for your new website. I hope to eventually get back to contributing on google + again :)
Your photo is gorgeous, as always! I'll have to check out G+. I'm registered but I forget to use it! :)
